Black bakelite grips are in good condition with heavier hits on the right grip. War time refinished P38 magazine is in very good condition. A favorite and iconic battle carbine from WWII (issued to U.S. officers) and beyond to Vietnam. 18" Underwood marked barrel dated 12-43 has a very good bore, fixed front and adjustable rear sights. 80% thinning finish on barrel and 40% on receiver. The barrel marking is light. 7S marked flat bolt. 15 marked bolt carrier. No visible markings on trigger group, AMB marked hammer. Trigger group shows wear. IH marked rear sight. R marked front sight. AI marked front barrel band. CMP marked wood stock is in very good shape. Handguard is unmarked. 15 round magazine is in great shape and marked "Made in U.S.A". Good representative sample of the famous Carbine rebuilt by the CMP. C&R OK.

Mauser (Hungarian) G98/40, 7.92x57mm cal. cal. bolt action military rifle. Serial #6809h, mfg. by Femaru, Budapest, Hungary in 1943. Good condition. Rare and highly desirable WWII battle rifle! Receiver marked "jhv 43". Serial numbers matching. Often referred to, but it's not actually a Mauser rifle, but rather a Mannlicher-based receiver design patterned after the Hungarian 35M. 1 of 50,000 made in 1943 for the Big One. 24" barrel has strong rifling with some frosting, fixed front sight with poor fitting hood and adjustable rear sight 1 - 20. 70% military blue finish with light overall wear. Wood is very good with some expected light war hits and marks. Unmarked steel butt plate. Unmarked leather sling is in fair condition. Nice WWII battle rifle. C&R OK.
