Wood shows wear with hits and dings and sliver of wood missing on the top left of the forearm. Action locks up well and appears operational. C&R OK.

Nazi WWII Luftwaffe Dagger. First model with aluminum fittings. Great war trophy from Nazi Germany. 12" blade and 18" overall. Blade shows heavy age and no maker mark is able to be determined. The blue leather washer is present. The aluminum crossguard and pommel show heavy wear and oxidization. The leather grip is in fair condition with wear and missing pieces. The wire wrap is broken in some places. The leather wrapped scabbard is 60% with scratches to the leather and some cuts. The metal fittings show corrosion. The aluminum chain is complete and shows age, and the belt clip is present, but is missing the retaining clip. Wish it could talk!

Description

Nazi SA WWII Dagger made by Puma. 9" blade and 14" overall. Blade has the motto "Ulles fur Deutschland", translating to "All for Germany". Maker marked "RZM M7/27" = Puma. Blade is bright, but shows runner marks from being in and out of the scabbard. Uncleaned. Wood grip is in very good condition and has the Eagle inset into the center and the SA emblem inset at the top. The metal fittings show some age and light scratches. The scabbard metal fittings show some age and the ball has a dent at the bottom. The upper fitting screws are present, but the lower ones are missing. Brown painted finish is 75% with scratches to the finish. Overall a good representative dagger from the notorious German SA Brown shirts. A true piece of WWII military history.

The leather on the scabbard shows heavier wear and has faint markings for the maker and year on the reverse. Belt hanger is present. Not often seen WWI U.S. knife.

The hilt and crossguard show some finish wear. The black lined plastic grips show wear and have numerous light dings. The green scabbard retains most of its finish and has three initials lightly scratched on the front. The scabbard metal fitting is very nice and just shows normal age. Perfect accessory for that M1 rifle.
