Winchester Model 70 Super Grade, .220 Swift cal. bolt action rifle.   Serial #68338, mfg. 1947.  Very good condition.  Outstanding Swift in the rare Super Grade. 26” stainless barrel has excellent bore, near 100% black oxide finish with crisp markings.  Barrel is stamped: “22S” and “45” underneath.  Hooded ramp front sight, rear sight slot is blanked.  Drilled for rear target blocks.  Receiver has excellent matte finish, with few very light rub marks.  Floor plate and trigger guard have very good blue with some light scratch marks on floor plate.  Stamped: “Super Grade” on floor plate.  Stock has classic Super Grade cheek piece and black forend tip. Stock finish is very good with some slight handling marks, excellent checkering and some finish flaking on forend tip.  Correct Super Grade sling swivels and checkered steel butt plate.  Bolt is serial numbered to the action and works smoothly.  Leupold steel scope rings and bases installed.  A beautiful Super Grade in a desirable caliber!  C&R OK.
