Plant Front-Loading Army Revolver, .42 cal. single action revolver. Serial #2713, mfg. 1865. Good condition. Interesting post-Civil War "front-loading" revolver with 6" octagon barrel. Brass is showing through on frame. Finish is mostly gray with some scattered blue. Very good bore. Spur trigger. Non-fluted cylinder with unique ejector housing and rod. Tap marks on butt (see photo). Smooth walnut grips are very good. Indexes and cocks wonderfully. A most unique antique revolver! Gunrunner West item.
