Colt Model 1860 Army, .44 cal. percussion single action revolver. Serial #40646, mfg. 1862. Antique. Very good condition. Nice example of Civil War officer's cap and ball revolver. Appears to have been patina and has now been cleaned up and is bright. All matching with matching cylinder and barrel wedge. 8" round barrel has a good bore. Mechanics are great with nice nipples. Nice screws. Very readable barrel address. Vivid "Colt's Patent" on left side of rame. Smooth walnut grips fit nicely and retain 50% of the original varnish. Brass triggerguard and grip strap. Cylinder scene is mostly gone, but some engraving left (see photos). Butt has an indent for shoulder stock attachment. Perfect candidate for a full restoration. Quite a piece with lots of Civil War history! Antique. Can ship right to your doorstep. Gunrunner West item.
