Mannlicher-Shoenauer Model 1956, .308 cal. bolt action carbine.   Serial #18656, mfg. Austria.  Excellent condition.  20” barrel has excellent bore, hooded ramp front sight, rear is missing.  Barrel and receiver have 96% blue with some fine surface rust on action and ahead of breech.  Trigger guard and floorplate have excellent blue with traces of fine corrosion.  Stock has excellent finish and corrosion with some light handling marks.  Deep “dished” cheek piece is unique to this model.  Fitted with Simmons 3x-9x variable scope with clear optics in classic Jaeger single lever detachable mount.  Double set triggers work fine. Bolt action is silky smooth!  Excellent Uncle Mikes leather sling.  Sweet little Mannlicher carbine!  C&R OK.
