Remington Model 580 Smoothbore, .22 long rifle shot cal. bolt action rifle.   Serial #1004672.  Excellent condition.  Created to whack rats and pigeons in dairy barns without shooting through the parlor walls. Rare to see. 24” barrel has excellent smooth bore, near 100% blue with crisp address markings.  Receiver ad trigger guard are excellent. Walnut stock has excellent smooth finish.  Bolt action works fine.  Extremely rare variant of the Remington 581 series and a good one to collect.
