Winchester Model 1895, .303 British cal. lever action rifle. Serial #75147, mfg. 1915. Good condition. 28" round barrel is a bit dark and has strong rifling, so could respond to a vigorous scrubout. Some fading blue on barrel. Receiver is gray with some blue in protected areas. Good tight action. Replacement walnut oil-finished wood is oversize and proud over the metal. Schabel forearm with ebony piece. Crescent butt. Vivid markings. Buckhorn rear sight. Hooded front sight. Unusual caliber for the this pre-War vintage Winchester lever! C&R OK. Gunrunner West item.
