Description
Metropolitan Arms Police, .36 cal. percussion single action revolver. Serial #3112, mfg. 1864. Antique. Good condition. First year production of this fluted cylinder Civil War era percussion revolver. Used by Union troops, these were copies of the Colt 1862 Police. Barrel markings: "Metropolitan Arms Co., New York". Pretty much all gray with some fading blue in protected areas. All matching serials including cylinder. Brass triggerguard and grip frame has a nice patina. Works well! 4 1/2" barrel has a good bore - dark. Smooth walnut grips have the usual marks. Only about 1600 of these made! They make a nice addition to a Colt Civil War collection. Antique. Can ship right to your doorstep. Gunrunner West item.
