U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 cal. auto military pistol.  Serial #456214, mfg. 1918.  Good condition.  Standard U.S. officer issue in WW1.  1911 parkerized frame has been heavily refinished  and updated to an A1 configuration.  The only visible stampings is the serial no  "5" - military barrel has a fair bore with pitting, fixed military sights.  Remington Rand slide is very good and retains 90% finish and has a W. German "Eagle/N" proof on the slide.  Brown checkered plastic grips are in very good condition with some light hits.  Blue magazine is in good condition.  Lots of U.S. military history here - from TWO wars!
