Winchester Model 70 Standard Grade, .30-06 cal. bolt action rifle.   Serial #3426, mfg. 1937. Very good condition.  Nice pre-war Model 70! 24” barrel has excellent bore, hooded ramp front sight, folding leaf rear, crisp markings, 93% blue.   Receiver has 90% finish with light edge wear.  Drilled and tapped. Matching bolt.  Wing safety. Trigger guard and floor plate have little remaining finish.  Stock has very good original finish and checkering with some light handling marks.  Stock has been shortened to 13” LOP, so original steel butt plate is a little proud.  Bolt action works smoothly.  "The Rifleman's Rifle".
