Starr Arms DA 1858 Army, .44 cal. percussion double action revolver. Serial #17685, mfg. 1862 in New York. Antique. Good condition. A popular and rugged Civil War sidearm that shot double action, All gray gun with pepper pitting which is the usual way you find these. 6" round barrel and non-fluted cylinder. Bore is good. Mechanism works OK, but sometimes the trigger stays back and it hesitates at times. 1856 patent mark and maker on left frame side. Smooth walnut grips are good and still have both inspector's stamps visible. Lots of Civil War history here! Antique. Can ship right to your doorstep. Gunrunner West item.
