Winchester Model 1873, .44-40 cal. lever action rifle.   Serial # 71051, mfg. 1881.  Excellent condition. A truly exceptional and original '73. 24” octagonal barrel has excellent shiny bore, open sights, 85% original blue with crisp address markings, light edge wear.  Receiver has beautiful, thinning high-polish blue with some fine scratch marks and very fine surface corrosion.  Screws are excellent.  Lever and hammer have 20% case colors remaining.  Stock and forearm have very good original finish with some light handling marks, curved rifle butt plate.  Lever action works perfectly.  Cody data sheet confirms configuration.
