U.S. Burnside Carbine, .54 cal. percussion carbine.  Serial #33934, mfg. 1864.  Fourth Model. Very good condition.  21” round barrel has clean shiny bore with strong rifling, correct sights, “mottled” brown original finish.  Frame and lock plate have good original finish turning patina, with crisp patent markings.  Saddle ring is present.  Screws are excellent.  Stock and forend have very good finish with handling marks, crisp inspector’s stamps on left side. Action works perfectly.  An excellent example of this famous Civil War carbine!  Correct in every detail!  Antique, can ship to your door.
