U.S. Colt Navy Model 1889 (New Army), .38 Long Colt cal. double action military revolver. Serial #865, mfg. 1892. Antique. Very good condition. Very rare Navy marked with "anchor" on butt with 75% blue and excellent mechanics. 6" barrel has a very good bore. Correct military proof marks. Butt is marked: "U.S.N." with anchor symbol and ".38 DA" and "No. 865" and "P" and "W.W.K. 1889". Wood grips were once smooth, but now checkered. Fire blue trigger. Fixed sights. Vivid markings. Matching serials. 1895 patent date on barrel top with Colt. Colt letter calls it "Colt New Army Revolver" and confirms present configuration. Sent to a Colonel A.
