U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 acp. cal. military auto pistol.  Serial #38070, mfg. 1913.  Very good condition.  Standard U.S. officer issue during WWI.  5" barrel has a poor bore with heavy corrosion, marked "HP" on top, "J" on the lug and "5" on the underside.  85% blue finish with high edge, muzzle and grip strap wear.  United States Property and Military inspector marked on left side of frame.  Wood checkered grips with diamond pattern are in very good condition with light wear.  Has the proper two-tone magazine with loop.  Great piece of U.S. military history from WWI.  C&R OK.
