Winchester Model 70 Classic Featherweight NRA, .30-06 cal. bolt action rifle. Serial #G178012, mfg. 1992. New conditon. Created for NRA banquets in the 1990's with a light colored Fajen stock with satin finish, cheekpiece and gold engraved floorplate with NRA symbol. 650 rifles were made in this manner for banquets and this is rifle 53. Gorgeous stock with nice figure and super grade type sling swivels. Long pre-64 type extractor. Lightened barrel, stock and frame. Black recoil pad. Floorplate is gold engraved with: "The Rifleman's Rifle", an eagle's head and "053 of 650". Fine cut checkering. Rosewood forearm tip. "NRA" in gold on rosewood pistol grip cap. Two gold bands around the muzzle (see photo). Red Winchester box with all papers and correct end label - very good condition. A wonderful M70! Gunrunner West item.
