Description
German G-43 "duv 44", 8mm cal. semi-auto military rifle.  Serial #5098h, mfg. 1944 by Berlin-Lubecker.  Good condition.  Non-matching bolt.  Standard troop issue in WWII.  22" barrel is threaded internally at the muzzle, has strong rifling, but is dark, fixed hooded front sight and 1 - 12 marked adjustable rear sight.  Bolt number is 8048l and electro-pencil 2232 on top of the rear cover.  Missing sliding dust cover.  Black enamel finish is 50% on the barrel and 80% on the receiver.  Heavy finish wear on the bolt cover and trigger guard.  Scope rail on the right side.  Original wood stock has a very faint non-matching serial number, no visible Waffen acceptance marks.  Three initials hand carved on the bottom forward of the magazine and an "R" hand carved or burned on the right side of the stock.  Stock has some war hits, heaviest on the left side at the bottom.  Wood handguard has a clearcoat and is in very good shape.  Metal butt plate with trap door.  K43 "gcb" coded magazine is in very good shape and appears to have been refinished.  Comes with cleaning rod and original German sling that's in fair shape and needs to be re-stitched at the keeper.  Super rifle from WWII.  Lots of Nazi history here. C&R OK.
