U.S Reising Model 50, .45 acp cal. full-auto military submachine gun. Serial #114006, mfg. 1943 by Harrington & Richardson Arms Co. Very good condition. Full-automatic, so all NFA rules apply. Outstanding example of a WWII Marine Corp sub-gun. These were very cheap to make and were first used by the U.S. Marine Corp in 1942 at Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands in jungle fighting. The Reising was also issued to various domestic military installations. This specimen has nice parkerization on barrel and receiver has some light corrosion marks on the receiver top over the maker's address (see photo). 11" finned barrel has a very good shiny bore and has a compensator (see photo). Shoots from closed bolt. Many of these Model 50's were war-surplused to various law enforcement agencies and prisons and this Reising has a stock stamp of "LVPD 71" which is Las Vegas Police Department ("71" is rack number). Wood is in very good condition with some marks of course. Steel butt. Fixed rear sight. Nice tight action. Runs well. Includes one 30-rd. stick magazine and one 20-rd. stick magazine (more Reising mags later in this auction). Leather sling. Full-auto all the way, so all NFA rules apply. Fully transferrable to a qualified individual. A beauty with much military and police history! Gunrunner West item.
