Charles Boswell Sidelock, 12 ga. side by side shotgun.   Serial #12990, mfg England.   Very good condition.  28” sleeved barrels have clean shiny bores, 30% remaining finish.  Barrels are stamped “Sleeved” and “Nitro Proof”.  2 ¾” chambers.   Right tube is stamped .729, left is stamped .719.  Double triggers and ejectors.  Frame and lock plates have no remaining finish, with beautiful fine scroll engraving.  Lock-up by double under bolts and hidden cross bolt.  Trigger guard shows heavy wear.  Stock and forearm have beautifully re-finished wood and re-cut fine checkering. Classic checkered butt stock.  LOP is 14 ¼”. Gun locks up fine, but with .003 gap on right side against face.  Locks and ejectors work fine. Wonderful classic British game gun form a famous maker - still with a lot of life left in her!   C&R OK.
