Smith & Wesson Military & Police (postwar), .38 Special. cal. revolver.   Serial #S955473, mfg. 1945-48.   Good condition.   5” barrel has excellent bore, fixed sights. crisp address markings. Barrel and frame have 40% finish with fine surface corrosion.  Cylinder has 30% finish.  Trigger and hammer have fading case coloring. S&W checkered grips show some wear.  All matching numbers throughout.  Double action works fine with tight lock-up.  Rarely seen in this serial range!  C&R OK.
