Winchester Model 1895 Takedown, .30-06 cal. lever action rifle. Serial #64639, mfg. 1911. Restored to very good conditon. Grand old '95 - the choice of Teddy Roosevelt - that has been reblued and has been restocked with Fajen wood. 98%++ blue. 24" barrel is a bit dark, but strong rifling - could respond to a vigorous scrubout. Buckhorn rear sights. Post front sight is missing blade. Has been buffed quite a bit and only two-thirds of the barrel address can be read. Four extra holes on left side of receiver that once held a side mount. Wood is nice and smooth with pleasing figure. Fajen hard buttplate. Good tight action.
