Winchester Model 42 Deluxe, .410 ga. slide action shotgun.  Serial #53376, mfg. 1946.  Excellent condition.  26” solid rib barrel has excellent shiny bore with approx. 94% original blue, slight muzzle wear.  3”chamber, choked MOD.  Receiver and trigger guard have 95% original blue with slight edge wear and some take down wear.  Left side of receiver has an area of light surface corrosion.  Beautifully highly figured buttstock has some light rub marks and fine scratches – mostly on left side.  Circular hairline crack behind receiver on right side.  Forearm has beautiful double diamond checkering pattern with sharp checkering.  Correct butt plate.  Receiver and barrel band screws have been turned.  Action works perfectly, of course.  A magnificent 42!  C&R OK.
