An early Winchester commemorative with shiny brass receiver and brass barrel bands. Engraved "1869-1969" on left side of receiver with "Golden Spike". Border scroll engraving on right side of brass receiver. Brass medallion with the May 10, 1869 date of the hooking up of the two railroads. 20" blued barrel. Buckhorn rear sights. Hooded front sight. Satin finished walnut stock has pleasing figure. Brass buttplate. Includes colorful box is fair/good condition with tears. Manual and all Golden Spike paperwork.
