U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 cal. auto military pistol. Serial # 215772, mfg 1917. Very good condition. Standard U.S. officer's issue during World War I. The frame was built in 1917 and a Colt 1911A1 slide was added. The 5” barrel is “HS” marked. Excellent bore. Frame has been reparked to 98%. Slide shows some very light scratches and is at 95%. "U.S. Property" mark on the right side of frame . The inspector's mark is faint and hard to read due to the parkerization. Arched main spring. Wide checkered hammer. Fixed combat sights. Maroon plastic 1911A1 grips are very good with a couple light dings. A very nice rebuild, should be a great shooter!  Much military history here. C&R OK.
