Stevens Model 44, .22 long rifle cal. single shot rifle.  Serial #16026.  Fair condition.  24” ½ octagon barrel has poor, rough bore. Barrel has 100% parkerized finish, crisp markings.  Receiver, finger lever and butt plate have been polished bright.  Stock and forearm have been refinished dull with tung oil.  Action locks up tightly and operates OK.  Good candidate for restoration or re-barreling.  C&R OK.
