Description
Winchester Model 1911, 12 ga. auto-loading shotgun. Serial #41498, mfg. 1913. Poor condition. 26” plain barrel has decent bore, about 20% original finish, turning patina. 2 ¾” chamber, choked CYL – rare! Receiver has little remaining finish, turning patina. Forearm has large crack on right side. Stock and forearm have little remaining finish, missing butt plate. Action DOES NOT function properly – bolt closes without warning. These guns were an attempt to circumvent Browning’s patents after his famous break with Winchester and have several unique design features that were not successful. An interesting historical piece – for display only. C&R OK.
