Marlin Model 39 Century Limited 1870-1970 Commemorative, .22 short, long and long rifle cal. lever action carbine.  Serial #9169, mfg. 1970.  Very good condition.  Very nice Model 39 that was created by Marlin to celebrate their 1870-1970 birthday. Very collectible and handsome piece! 20" octagon barrel has excellent bore.  Receiver and barrel have 96% blue with some areas of very light surface corrosion.  Gold Marlin medallion on right side of receiver, gold polished forend tip and gold finished trigger.  Stock and forend have been re-finished to matte oil finish.  Brass Marlin “39 Century LTD.” plate on right butt stock.  Action works perfectly.  Nice commemorative Marlin! Beautiful!
