U.S. Springfield Model 1840, 69 cal. flintlock conversion shotgun.  NSN.  Fair condition.   32” smooth bore has good bore, needs cleaning.  Barrel has extensive corrosion in breech area, faint proof marks.  Lock plate has US Eagle stamp and vertical “Springfield 1842” markings.  Stock hardware is very good.  Stock has very good original finish.  Lock works fine.  Interesting piece.  Antique, can ship to your door.
