Winchester Model 1897, 12 ga. slide action shotgun.  Serial #221853, mfg. 1904.  Very good condition.  30” barrel has shiny bore, approx.. 70% original blue, crisp markings.  2 ¾” chamber, choked FULL.  Receiver has 70% original blue, thinning on bottom with edge wear and some light scratches.  Stock and forearm have very good original thinning finish, rounded knob grip and correct steel butt plate.  Slide action works perfectly.  A really nice early 97 – hard to find in this condition at this age!  C&R OK.
