U.S. M1 Garand, .30-06 cal. semi-auto military rifle.  Serial #1280596, mfg. by Winchester.  Very good condition. Standard GI issue during World War II and the Korean War.     Winchester receiver/bolt/trigger assembly/ op-rod and gas cyl.  Winchester barrel  measures (ME-2.5, TE-2.5) - bore has some pitting, but the rifling is still visible.   The finish on the receiver is 80% with some field wear. The barrel shows signs of pitting. Good tight action.  Walnut stock is a post war G.I. replacement - nice and smooth with no stamps or cartouches.  A nice solid Garand that should still be a nice shooter.    C&R OK.
