U.S. Springfield-Krag Model 1896, .30-40 cal. bolt action military rifle.  Serial #47835, mfg. 1897.  Very good condition.  30” barrel has excellent bore.  Barrel and receiver have been touched up with cold blue at some point.  Crisp markings on receiver.  Model 1901 marked rear sight.  Stock has been sanded smooth and re-finished – no cartouche visible.  Few minor handling marks.  Butter-smooth action – typical Krag.  A nice shooter.  Antique – can ship to your door.
