Thai Type 91 Police Carbine, 6.5x50 cal. bolt action carbine.  NSN. Good condition, mfg. Japan.  20” barrel has good bore with some worn rifling.  Barrel, receiver and trigger guard/floorplate have 60% original blue.  M1 carbine-style stock has 50% original finish with lots of hits and scratches.   These were made up by the Thai government after the war to utilize large surplus of WW II vintage Japanese arms and ammunition.  Basically Jap Type 38 parts remodeled to resemble an American M1 carbine!  Bolt action works fine.  An interesting Japanese variant.  Not often seen and collectible!
