German 16 ga./8x57JR over/under combination gun.   Serial #1269.  Very good condition.   25 ¾” 16 ga shot barrel has clean shiny bore.  2 9/16” chamber, choked FULL.  8x57JR rifle barrel has very good bore with strong rifling. Matted top rib has fine gold bead front sight and folding leaf rear.  Claw mount bases installed.  No maker’s name, so probably a “guild gun”. Frame has plain finish with traces of case coloring, reinforced breech area.  Lock-up by double under-bolts and Greener cross bolt. Double triggers, front trigger can be set for rifle barrel. Stock and forearm have good original finish with worn checkering, some handling marks.  Cartridge trap in top of butt stock.  European narrow sling swivels. Butt plate has worn checkering. Lock up is tight and locks work fine.  Elegant combo gun for deer and small game!   C&R OK.
