U.S. M1 Carbine "Paratrooper", .30 cal. semi-auto military. Serial #5772809, mfg. 1944 by Winchester. Very good condition. Standard U.S. jumper issue during WWII. 18" barrel, excellent bore. Folding stock has the correct marks of "P" on top of wood pistol grip and arsenal stamps of "RIA" and inspector "L.E.B." and "Crossed Cannons" stamp on bottom of wood pistol grip. Oiler has knocked a hole in the leather (see photos). Parts count: Winchester receiver, Rockola trigger group, hammer is "W", barrel is "W", op rod is "PI", bolt is "IO". Incorrect handguard is vented steel, but should be wood (easy fix). One 15-rd. metal blue magazine. Lots of U.S. military history here! C&R OK. Gunrunner West item.
