Winchester Model 71 Deluxe, .348 cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #6774, mfg. 1936.  Very good condition.  Great early production Model 71 Deluxe with 24” barrel. Excellent bore.  Barrel and receiver have 80% original blue with crisp address markings, thinning around edges.  Hooded ramp front sight with blank rear. Correct 98A bolt peep sight.  One small nick on barrel near muzzle, a few fine scratches on receiver.  Action and forend screws slightly burred.  Lever and bottom of receiver show some carry wear.  Stock and forend have 60% original finish with numerous light handling marks and worn and dinged checkering.  Correct factory sling swivels and checkered steel butt plate.  Lever action works fine.  A nice original Deluxe 71 – hard to find with factory bolt peep!  For years the "Gold Standard" for elk, moose and big bear.
