Description
Winchester 94AE "Geauga County" Special Edition, .45 Colt cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #INV00668, mfg. 2004.  Excellent new in the presentation case.  Offered through Investment Arms, Inc.  This is #6 of #10 made.  Unfired.  Has a 20" barrel, fixed front sight and white diamond marked adjustable rear sight.  24K Gold wash finish on the barrel and tube are excellent.  Gold and silver finished engraved receiver with stars and floral border.  On the left side of the receiver it's marked "Geauga County", "Maple Syrup", "Dairy", "Created December 31, 1805" with an outline of the county, cows and maple syrup harvesting scenes.  Also in small letters is "Old Western Tract, Burton Wetlands Nature Preserve, Peter Chardon Brooks, Amish Country and Century Village."  The right side of the receiver is marked "Geauga County", "Great Fire of 1868", "1869 Courthouse" and "Ohio" with a firefighting scene, the courthouse and floral engraving.  Also in small letter is "Agricultural & Manufacturing Society, Benjamin Wright Jr., Batavia Inn, Cuyahoga River and Seneca Indians."  The top of the jeweled bolt reads "6 of 10" and has two sets of crossed flags.  Light design etching on top of the barrel behind the rear sight.  The oversized cocking lever is gold washed with silver floral engraving on both sides of the trigger guard.  There's one small vertical scratch on the left side of the receiver.  The tang is engraved "The Geauga County Fair."  The walnut wood forearm reads "Geauga County" on one side and "Ohio" on the other side.  There's also patterns and a maple leaf and a cardinal.  The walnut wood stock has "B&O Railroad" and "Geauga County 1803 The Buckeye State 2003."  The right side of the stock has "Chillicothe Road" and a covered wagon scene.  Comes with a certificate of Authenticity from Investment Arms Inc.  This rifle was made for the Geauga County Fair Bicentennial.  Only 10 of these were made with the artist proof.  Also includes the manual, white gloves and custom Investment Arms deluxe padded green hard case.  Quite a find and great for Winchester collectors and Geauga County residents alike!
