Springfield - Krag, .30-40 cal. bolt action sporter.  Serial #8404.  Good condition.  22” barrel has good bore with slightly worn rifling, 30% blue.  Barrel has been shortened from original length and rear sight dovetail added.  Peep sight on receiver.  Receiver and trigger guard are mostly grey with little original finish.  Stock has been nicely converted to sporter style with wood insert added to butt.  Nicely finished walnut with string checkering, one large scratch on left side by receiver.  Bolt action has typical Krag “smooth as silk” action.  A nice conversion.  C&R OK.
