Walther P-38 "byf 44", 9mm cal. double action military auto pistol.  Serial #5230u, mfg. by Mauser in 1944.  Very good condition.  Later 1944 solid blue variation.  Matching numbers on frame, slide and barrel, locking block has a different serial number.  Standard Nazi officer issue during WWII.  5" barrel has a very good bore with some darkness in the grooves, fixed military sights.  95% blue finish with some high edge finish loss.  Double Eagle/135 military acceptance marks on the slide.  Black bakelite grips are very good with some light scuffs and scratches.  Blue P.38 marked magazine is in good shape but is missing the internal base retainer at the bottom.  Comes with a dyed black cxb 1941 leather belt holster.  Nice souvenir from the big one.  C&R OK.
