Colt Model 1911 WWI Chateau Thierry Commemorative, .45 cal. automatic pistol.  Serial #2128-CT, mfg. 1967.  Unfired condition.  The very collectible individual specimen from the four-gun set offered by Colt in the 1960's commemorating the major battles of World War I. 5” barrel has mint bore.  Slide and frame have 100% high polish blue with WW1 battle scene on left side and WW1 Commemorative script on right side.  Checkered diamond walnut grips have Army medallion on right side and US Eagle and Chateau Thierry medallions on left side.  Wooden display case contains history of Chateau Thierry engagement.  Sliding top cover needs repair.  One of a set of four.  Get 'em all!
