Mississippi Valley Arms Top Break, 12 ga. single shot shotgun.  Serial #551794.  Fair condition.  2 1/2" chamber, fixed MOD choke.  30" barrel has a very good bore, bead front sight.  Patina finish with heavy peppering.  Smooth wood forearm is good with a small crack on the underside.  The stock has a chip, multiple cracks and an old repair at the wrist.  Black checkered butt plate is worn and chipped.  13 1/2" LOP.  Good restoration project.  C&R OK.
