U.S. Springfield Military Bolo Knife. Mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1917. Good condition. 10 1/2" blade is marked "U.S., S.A., flaming bomb and dated 1917." The blade has pitting and rust most notably by the tip. Metal handle fittings also have some corrosion. Wood grip is in very good shape. 15" overall length. Brauer Bros. 1917 dated scabbard is very good. Canvas body with leather bottom and has belt attachment hook. The front is adorned with some artwork, most likely trench art from WW1.
