Savage Sporter, .25-20 cal. bolt action rifle.  Serial #38020.  Good condition.  24 1/2" barrel has a very good bore, fixed front and Savage marked adjustable rear sights.  90% blue finish with light peppering/rust spots over much of the finish.  The top of the receiver is factory drilled and tapped for a scope mount.  The action works well.  Smooth wood stock with schnabel tip is in good shape with numerous small marks and impressions.  Steel butt plate shows age.  Comes with one unmarked magazine, that appears to be the original, and is in fair to good shape.  C&R O
