Savage Sporter, .22 long rifle cal. bolt action rifle.  Serial #NSN.  Good condition.  23" barrel has a very good bore, fixed front and adjustable rear sights.  Blue finish has some muzzle wear and has turned mostly patina from age.  Smooth wood stock with schnabel tip is very good and has a light 4" crack on the right side mid-stock starting at the butt plate.  Steel butt plate has rust.  Unmarked blue detachable magazine is likely a reproduction.  C&R OK.
