Prussian Court Degen Military Sword.  Mfg. Germany.  Very good condition.  29" blade is marked "Germany" and "29" and is excellent with some runner marks and light spots.  Fixed position dual clamshells.  Area of raised engraving on top of the D guard and some engraving on the crown pommel.  Acorn engraved ferrule.  Gold wire wrapped handle is nice and tight.  Some age related finish wear on the metal handle parts.  35 1/2" overall length.  Has a leather scabbard with nickel silver drag and throat.  Light impressions on the drag.  The leather is in excellent shape.  These swords were to be worn at "Court" functions involving the Prussian Nobility.  Not often seen and an excellent example.
