Mossberg Model Targe 42TR, .22 cal. smoothbore bolt action rifle.  Serial #NSN.  Good condition.  A unique smoothbore rifle with a screw-on rifled attachment that was mode in the 1940s.  20" barrel has an excellent bore, as does the rifle attachment. High post fixed front sight and dial adjustable rear sight.  70% fading blue finish with scattered peppering.  The action works fine.  Glossy smooth wood stock is very good with some light hits and marks.  Black lined butt plate that has pieces missing at the edges.  Comes with one detachable magazine.  A somewhat scarce model.  C&R OK.
