Savage Model 99G Takedown, .300 Savage/.410  cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #320401, mfg. 1929.  Good condition.  Two-barrel factory set. 24” .300 cal. barrel has excellent bore with 93% original blue and crisp markings.  Ramp front sight with gold bead, Marbles replacement rear.   Receiver and lever have 20% finish, tuning patina.  Lever has nice case colors in protected areas.  Receiver has been drilled and tapped and includes weaver scope bases.  Stock and forearm have very good re-finished wood with worn checkering and non-original recoil pad.  Original grip cap is cracked.   Nice vintage sling swivel mounts.  Includes rare accessory .410 barrel with shiny bore, approx. 80% blue with some light surface corrosion.  Lever action works fine and takedown is tight.  Neat old vintage set from the days when you fed your family with venison and the trap line!  Very collectible piece and a must for '99 collectors.
