Marlin Model 39A, .22 short, long or long rifle cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #E264, mfg. 1948.  Very good condition.  24” barrel has excellent bore with 80% fading blue, turning brown.  Magazine tube has surface corrosion.  Receiver and lever have 80% blue with a few dings and some surface corrosion.  Stock and forearm have very good original finish with some handling dings and couple scrape marks.  Lever action works fine.  A nice early 39A!  C&R OK.
