Savage Model 1903, .22 short, long and long rifle cal. slide action rifle.  Serial #82279, mfg. 1903-1922.  Very good condition.  24” octagonal barrel has excellent bore with crisp address markings.  Barrel and receiver have 95% deep lustre blue with slight edge wear.  Extra front sight dovetail added approx. four inches from muzzle.  Classic Savage “perch belly” stock and round knob pistol grip have excellent re-finished wood.  Correct buttplate.  Correct seven shot detachable magazine.  Action works fine.  Beautifully made early slide action .22!  C&R OK.
