New Ithaca Gun Quality "A", 12 ga. side by side hammer gun.  Serial #48617, mfg. 1901.  Good condition.  30” twist steel barrels have excellent shiny bores with nice twist figure and beautiful top rib.  Receiver and trigger guard have little remaining finish, mostly patina, with slightly dinged screws.  Stock and forearm have good original finish with worn checkering and numerous light hits.  Couple hairline cracks behind breech and large chip missing from toe of butt and original butt plate.  Gun locks up tightly and hammers come to full cock nicely.  A grand old girl from the golden age!  C&R OK.
